Partnering with Generation Alive gives us the opportunity to bring this unique hands on program to our school. Generation Alive and the Something to Eat program ignites passion and empowers our kids to take action and address the needs around them.
There are over 72,000 people in Spokane County who don't know where their next meal will come from. Our students have been challenged to help fight the food insecurity that happens each and every day in our own community. Every $0.25 raised is enough money for one meal. Our goal this year is to raise enough money for 10,000 meals – that's $2500.
After one week of collecting coins, our students have already raised $1845.51!! Fundraising will continue until our food packing event on February 13th. During this event, every student will have the opportunity to help pack meals for 2nd Harvest Food Bank.
Thank you so much for your support in the important service project.
